Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Fort Worth, TX

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

Often needed alongside

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

Why would anybody water a foundation?

To keep the clay under it at a steady moisture content. This soil shrinks as it dries and swells as it wets, and a slab sitting on it moves accordingly. Keeping the perimeter evenly damp through a hot summer stops the edges dropping while the middle stays put, which is what cracks a slab.

Can it be overdone?

Easily, and that is the other half of the problem. A soaker running too long or too close puts saturated ground against the foundation and the wall above it, which produces damp at the base of walls, wet crawl or slab edges, and swelling that lifts the perimeter. Even and moderate is the aim rather than plentiful.

How far from the wall should the hose sit?

Twelve to eighteen inches out, not against the brick. A hose laid tight to the wall wets the masonry itself and the backfill rather than the soil that supports the slab edge, which is the part that matters. Buried a little and set on a timer for short frequent runs is the usual advice here.
