Mold Removal & Remediation in Austin, TX

Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.

The pro who inspects is the pro who quotes

Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.

Often needed alongside

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

Frequently asked questions

What gets opened after a tank fails upstairs?

More than the ceiling under it. Fifty gallons arriving at once runs along the top plates and down inside the walls before it comes through, so the cavities on both floors are read and opened where they are wet. The ceiling is the obvious part and rarely the largest part of the scope.

Is a summer loss quicker to dry here than a winter one?

The ceiling itself, yes. With the warm season in the mid-nineties an attic runs well above the house, so the top of the board dries hard from above without any equipment at all. What does not speed up is the wall cavities below, which are inside the cooled part of the building and set the real length of the job.

Why was the pan no help?

Because a pan only works if its drain does, and that line is almost never tested after the day it was fitted. It blocks, or it was never carried through to the outside, so the pan fills and overflows in the first minutes of a failure. It is checked as part of the repair rather than trusted.
