Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Boulder, CO
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why are readings taken at the same time every day?
Because otherwise they cannot be compared. The swing between a cold dawn and a warm afternoon is large enough to move a reading by a meaningful amount without anything actually changing in the wall. Taking them at a fixed hour, in a building held at a stable temperature, is what makes the daily trend mean something.
The surface dries within a day. Is the wall finished?
Almost certainly not. Dry air pulls the face of a material down very quickly and the inside of the cavity follows much more slowly, so the fastest-drying surfaces here are the most misleading. The reading that counts comes from inside the wall through a small opening, and it is taken on consecutive days before anything is closed.
Does a masonry wall run longer than a framed one?
Often twice as long. A framed cavity can be opened at the base and dried with air moving through it in three or four days. Solid masonry has to give its water up through one face at whatever rate the material allows, and there is no way to speed that beyond warming it and keeping the air around it dry.
