Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Long Beach, CA
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Can a raised wood floor be dried without pulling the finish floor?
Often, if the crawl space is reachable. Air is moved under the joists and the subfloor is read from below, which dries the assembly without lifting the boards above. It depends on how long the water sat and what the finish floor is; a floor that has already cupped badly is usually lifted so the subfloor can be reached directly.
Does plaster over lath have to come out?
Less often than drywall does. Plaster is slower to soften and frequently survives, but the keys squeezed through the lath hold water where nothing can reach them, and the cavity behind is what actually needs drying. Cuts are usually made low on the wall to open the cavity and the plaster above is left in place if it is still sound.
Why is equipment still running under the house?
Because the space under a raised floor is enclosed and still, and it gives up moisture far more slowly than a room does. If the crawl space is closed while the soil and joists are still damp, that moisture moves back up into the floor. Readings are taken below as well as above, and the equipment comes out when both hold.
