Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Scottsdale, AZ
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Can a house be dried too quickly?
It can, and it is the more common mistake here. Timber gives up moisture from its surface first, and when the surrounding air is very dry the outside of a board dries and shrinks while the middle is still wet. That is what cups a floor and opens joints in trim, so the rate is controlled rather than pushed.
What is the target reading in a climate like this?
Lower than most, and it is taken from the building rather than from a table. Materials here settle at a low moisture content because the air is dry nearly all year, so a standard borrowed from elsewhere leaves them above where they started. Unaffected timber in the same house is measured and used as the goal.
Why keep equipment running when everything reads dry?
Because the surface reaches the air before the assembly does. In this climate a wall face or a floor board can read dry within a day while the framing and the back of the board are still holding water, and the reading you want is from inside the assembly. Closing up early is what brings a job back.
