Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Bridgeport, WV
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
What is under the aluminum or vinyl?
Usually the original wood siding, still in place. Re-cladding a house rarely involved taking the old surface off, so there are two skins on the wall with a gap between them, and the inner one is sealed in behind a surface that passes nothing. It has not dried properly since the day it was covered.
Does that gap cause the problem or just hide it?
Both. Water getting behind the outer skin runs down between the two claddings and arrives at the bottom of the wall without anything appearing on the surface, and the original siding behind holds what it takes. The void gives the water a route and removes any warning at the same time.
How is the wall assessed?
By taking the outer cladding off along the suspected run, because nothing else answers the question. Readings on the outer surface report the outer surface, and from inside the house there are two layers plus a void in the way. It is slower than it looks and it is the only reliable approach.
