Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Amarillo, TX
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
The leak was in one corner. Why is half the floor wet?
Because there is nowhere for it to go. The layer beneath these slabs is close to impermeable, so water from a failed line under the floor spreads sideways along it rather than soaking down. The wet area is a shallow sheet, and it can be many times the size of the break by the time anything shows in the room.
What does the run look like once the pipe is repaired?
Two to three weeks for the concrete, starting from the repair rather than from the discovery. Above the floor the rooms come down quickly in this air. The slab is the schedule, and it has to be read on consecutive days until the numbers stop moving before any covering goes back over it.
Why is a spare room being checked when the leak was in the kitchen?
Because the sheet of water under the slab does not respect the floor plan. It follows whatever slope the hardpan has, which is rarely the same direction as the rooms. Readings are taken across the whole floor early on, and the drying is set up on what the meter shows rather than on where the fitting failed.
