Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Smyrna, TN
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
What is housewrap meant to do?
Catch whatever gets past the siding and carry it back out. It works entirely by overlap: each course has to lap over the one below, like shingles, so water running down the face of it is always carried outward and away from the sheathing.
What happens when a course laps the wrong way?
It does the opposite of its job. Water running down meets an upward-facing edge and goes behind it instead of over it, straight onto the sheathing. A single reversed course can wet a wall more reliably than no barrier at all would.
How is a reversed lap confirmed?
Only by opening the wall, which is why it is usually found late. A stretch of siding comes off and the lap direction is either right or it is not, and it takes one look. The value of checking is that it explains a wall that keeps coming back wet.
