Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Mitchell, SD
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
What is the well around the basement window?
A curved sheet of pressed steel set into the ground against the foundation, holding the soil back so that a window below grade can still have daylight and air. It is a liner rather than a structure, and it is only as good as the metal.
Why does the liner rust out at the base?
Because that is the part permanently in wet soil. The exposed upper section stays reasonable for decades while the buried lower edge rusts through, so the well looks serviceable from above while the soil behind it is coming in underneath.
What does a proper repair involve?
Digging the well out, putting in a new liner and, more importantly, a drain in the base of it connected to something. Most of these never had a drain at all, which is why they fill, and a new liner without one rusts out the same way.
