Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Findlay, OH
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the insulation coming out rather than drying?
Because it holds many times its own weight in water and gives it back very slowly, and while it is up there it is pressed against the underside of the floor. Even where a batt would eventually dry, leaving it keeps the subfloor wet for weeks. It comes out first and the structure is read afterwards.
What is the state of the crawl space before a loss?
Humid, particularly in early summer. The wettest month lands in warm weather, and a crawl space is the coolest part of the building with the most exposed ground, so it carries moisture as a normal condition. That baseline is measured at the start, because it is what the drying works against rather than a dry starting point.
Does the floor above have to come up?
Usually not, and that is the reason for working from below. With the insulation cleared the underside of the subfloor is exposed directly and air can be moved across it, which dries the assembly from the side the water is on. The floor upstairs only comes up where the covering itself was wet or the readings do not fall.
