Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Wildwood, NJ

Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

Why do pipes split here with such mild winters?

Because the buildings were not built for any winter at all. These started as summer cottages, and the plumbing was extended into walls that have no insulation behind them. A couple of nights below freezing is enough when there is nothing between the pipe and the outside.

Where are the vulnerable runs?

In the outside walls, in the space under a floor that was once open, and in anything added to the back of the building. The original cottage core is usually the warmest part, and the trouble is almost always in what came afterward.

What is worth doing before a cold snap?

Knowing where the main shutoff is and being able to reach it, more than anything else. Insulating what can be reached helps, but the difference between a wet floor and a wet building is how long the water runs before somebody closes the valve.
