Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Plymouth, MN

Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

  • Mold Remediation

Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.

Frequently asked questions

How does a covered well end up full of water?

Because the cover is not sealed and it works both ways. Blowing snow gets under the edge through the winter and then melts, and the dome that kept most of it out also stops what has collected from evaporating away. The well holds it against the window instead.

Why does this take a whole season to show?

Because nobody looks. The cover is opaque with snow on it for months, the window is in a basement nobody uses in winter, and the melting is slow rather than dramatic. By the time the frame and the sill show anything, they have been wet since December.

What is worth changing?

Checking under the cover a couple of times over the winter, which is the whole of it. The well and the cover are both doing their job most of the time, and the problem is that nobody has any reason to look. A cover that can be lifted easily is worth more than one that seals perfectly.
