Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Bolingbrook, IL
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why is an inlet in a back yard a problem?
Because it belongs to everybody and nobody. A curb inlet in the street gets cleared by the village; one in the corner of four back yards gets mown around. It fills with clippings and leaf litter over a few seasons, and the first anybody knows about it is standing water across the lower lawns after a storm.
What happens when the grate is covered over?
The low corner becomes a pond and then spreads. The yards were graded to send water there, so once the opening cannot take it the water backs up across the lowest ground, which is usually within a few feet of one or two of the houses. Window wells and walkout doors at that corner are what take it.
Whose responsibility is it to clear?
Usually the owners', though the structure may belong to the village, and the answer is worth establishing before there is water in a basement. Where an easement exists across the back of the lots, the village frequently has the right to work there but no duty to inspect. Keeping the grate clear is the practical answer either way.
