Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in North Lauderdale, FL
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
The tile is loose in rooms that never got wet. Why?
Because the bond was marginal already. Adhesive on a hard steel-troweled slab holds by a thin margin, and the humidity that a loss puts into the building is enough to release it well outside the wet area. The loose field is real damage, but it marks where the bond was weakest rather than where the water went.
Does the whole floor come up, or only the wet part?
It depends on what can be matched. The wet part has to come up so the concrete can be read and dried. Where the tile is a pattern that is no longer made, lifting only part of it leaves a visible repair, so the extent becomes a finish decision rather than a drying one and is settled early.
The unit was empty with the air off. Does that change anything?
It changes how far along the loss is. With the system off, the inside of the building sits at the outdoor dew point for most of the year, so nothing has been drying and the humidity has been working on adhesive, cabinetry and any paper-faced board since the water arrived. The scope is normally wider than the same loss in an occupied home.
