24/7 Emergency
Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in New London, CT
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a stone cellar take to dry?
Longer than anything attached to it, and the joints are the slowest part. Rubble stone and lime mortar hold water deep in the wall and give it up through the face over days. The room can feel finished well before the wall is. Nothing is refastened against it until base readings hold steady, because furring fixed to damp stone traps the moisture behind it.
Does old timber framing dry like modern lumber?
Not at the same pace. Heavy old timber takes water slowly and releases it slowly, so it can still read wet after modern framing in the same space has finished. It generally survives well. Readings are taken in the timber itself rather than at the surface, and the equipment stays until those numbers stop moving.
The loss happened in October. Is that a problem?
It compresses the schedule. October is the wettest month here at nearly five inches and the freeze follows within weeks, so there is a narrow stretch before the building is closed and heated for the winter. Once heating begins the dry indoor air does help, but a cellar left damp when the house closes stays damp a long time.
