Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Redlands, CA

Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

Why does water run the way it does on this lot?

Because the ground was shaped for something else. These streets were laid over citrus groves, and the furrows and berms that watered the trees were graded over rather than removed, so there are old channels under the surface still directing flow.

How would anyone know they are there?

From the pattern rather than from digging. Water concentrating in a line that nothing on the surface explains, running the same way on neighboring lots, is the signature. The old grove layout ran across what are now several properties, so it repeats along the street.

Can the grading be corrected?

On one lot, yes, and it is usually worth it. Regrading the first few feet around the building to break the old line and fall away from the house deals with what reaches it. What runs across the wider area is not one household's to change.
