Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Auburn, AL
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
The wall was dried in the spring. Why is it damp again in August?
It may not have been finished. A building held at a high setting through the summer runs humid inside, so an assembly that was closed while still carrying moisture has no way to release and no season working on it. The reading that matters is the one taken inside the cavity before it was closed, not how the room felt.
Does turning the cooling down help the drying?
It helps, though it is not the drying plan. A system running more takes some moisture out of the whole house, which supports the equipment. What it cannot do is dry a closed wall cavity. The value of it is in the months afterwards, when a slightly drier building is what stops a marginal job from coming back.
What is checked before a wall is closed here?
The cavity, on consecutive days, through the opening that was made to dry it. The surface reading is not the test. Where a building is going to sit closed and warm for months afterwards, the margin on that final reading matters more than it would somewhere with a dry season ahead.
