Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Theresa, WI
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why does one half of the basement finish long before the other?
Because they are different structures. A stone cellar is cold masonry with a great deal of mass and it releases slowly; a shallow crawl is earth and air and behaves completely differently. They are read separately and given different equipment, and the cellar end almost always sets the finish date for the whole building.
What is done first in a January loss down there?
Heat. Cold stone will not release moisture no matter how much air is moved across it, so the space is warmed for a day or two before the drying equipment does anything useful. Skipping that step is the single most common reason a cellar job stalls with the numbers refusing to move.
The floor above spans both halves. Does that matter?
It does, because the joists run continuously across. Framing over the cold cellar end lags behind framing over the crawl even though it is one floor, so readings are taken at both ends of the span rather than in the middle. The floor is not signed off until the slower end holds.
