24/7 Emergency
24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Yakima, WA
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Frequently asked questions
What does ash do that ordinary soil does not?
It is very fine and it does not drain like sand or bind like clay. Wet ash turns to a slurry that moves easily, and a layer of it within the soil profile becomes a plane that water travels along. Where that layer runs under a foundation, water arriving at one point can reach it from some distance away.
How does that show up at a house?
As settlement in one part of a slab or foundation rather than as anything wet. A leaking line, an irrigation head or a downspout putting water into the ground repeatedly saturates a layer that then gives way under load. The cracking is the symptom and the water is the cause, several feet away.
What is the practical response?
Find and stop the water first, before any structural repair is designed. In a climate with eight inches of rain a year, ground that is saturated has been wetted by something the property is doing. Fixing a slab over ground that is still being watered is work that has to be done twice.
