Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Spokane, WA
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the water just sit on the basement floor?
Because there is nothing under the slab to take it. A floor poured on rock has no gravel bed and no path downward, so a failure upstairs that finds the basement stays there until it is pumped or extracted. It is not a drainage fault; it is how the floor was built, and it means removal comes before any drying starts.
How much faster is a summer loss than a winter one?
Roughly half the time. July air here is dry enough to be used directly, so the building can be opened and ventilated and the equipment is supplementing rather than doing everything. In December the outside air is saturated and cold, the basement is cold, and the same loss runs eight to twelve days instead of four or five.
The readings were fine in August. Why is the wall damp now?
Because one good reading in very dry air proves less than it looks like it does. A surface reads low while material behind it is still holding, and in August the surface dries fast. The remedy is boring rather than clever: readings on consecutive days, taken from inside the cavity, before anything is closed up.
