24/7 Emergency
Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Burlington, VT
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
How does a buried pipe freeze?
When frost in the soil reaches its depth. Snow insulates the ground, so the winters that do this are the cold ones without much cover. Water in the line stops moving, ice forms, and the pressure created by that ice splits the pipe at whatever point was weakest, which is generally out in the yard.
When does the damage actually appear?
At the thaw, often weeks later. The split is sealed by the ice that made it, so nothing happens while the ground stays frozen. When it releases, the line starts discharging underground, and the first indication is usually pressure dropping in the house or an unexplained rise in consumption.
Is there anything to do while it is still frozen?
Keep it from getting worse rather than try to force it. Running a trickle at a fixture during a deep cold spell keeps water moving in the line, and clearing snow off the run is exactly the wrong move since that cover is what keeps the frost shallow. Thawing a buried line is work for the utility, not the owner.
