Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Layton, UT
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there two water lines to the house?
One is treated and one is not. The house supply is drinking water and the second line is untreated water for outdoor use, which is how a great deal of watering is done here. They are brought into the property together and the second is only charged for part of the year.
When do failures in it show up?
In spring, when it is charged. Anything that split over the winter is a dry pipe until the season starts, so the failure is discovered by the system being turned on rather than by anything happening at the time. It then runs into ground that is already full.
Does it matter that the water is untreated?
It does for what gets handled how. It is not drain water, but it is not drinking water either, so ground and materials it reaches are treated with more caution than a clean supply failure would call for. That is established before anything is dried.
