Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Clearfield, UT
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why does storage in the attic matter after a loss?
Because of what it is sitting on. Roof trusses are designed so the bottom chord holds a ceiling and nothing else, and a boarded floor with belongings on it is a load they were never sized for. A ceiling that is also holding water is carrying two.
What has to happen before the ceiling can be dried?
The contents and the boards come out, which is most of the first day. Nothing above the ceiling can be read or reached through a floor with belongings on it, and the wet insulation is underneath all of that. It is slower than a clear attic by a long way.
Does the storage floor go back?
That is worth a conversation rather than an assumption. It was not part of the design, and if the ceiling has deflected at all the loading is the reason. Where it does go back, keeping it to the area over a bearing wall is the sensible compromise.
