Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Tyler, TX
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the wallcovering stripped before anything else?
Because it is what is stopping the wall from drying. Vinyl is close to sealed, so board behind it has no route into the room and will hold its water for as long as the covering stays on. Taking it off is the first move on any wet wall here, and it is usually what reveals how far the water actually went.
How is the extent found under a sealed surface?
By lifting the covering rather than by looking or touching. A vinyl face stays cool and sound over saturated board, so neither the eye nor a hand tells you anything, and a surface meter reads the covering instead of the wall. Seams are opened along the run and pins go into the board itself.
Does this wall come out or dry in place?
It can often be dried, which is the advantage of finding it early. The board itself is usually sound if it has not stood in water, and with the covering stripped it gives up moisture into a warm room reasonably fast. What decides it is time: board that has been sealed wet for weeks is soft and goes.
