Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in The Woodlands, TX
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Attics usually dry themselves in this climate. Why not this one?
Because it does not get hot. An exposed roof pushes an attic well above the outside temperature during the day, and that is what dries it. Under heavy canopy the roof stays shaded and the space tracks the air outside, which in October is warm and humid. The attic has to be dried with equipment like any other space.
What is in the attic that is likely to have failed?
The air handler, its drain, or the water heater if it is up there. Modern houses of this size commonly put all three in the roof space, directly above finished ceilings with nothing beneath them to catch anything. The pan and the drain are checked first, because a blocked line is far more common than a burst pipe.
Does the ceiling insulation come out?
Along the wet run, yes. Blown or batt insulation holds water directly on top of the board and, without a hot attic above to drive it off, it stays that way for weeks. It is removed so the ceiling and the framing can be read and dried, and it goes back only after those numbers hold.
