Storm & Flood Damage Recovery in San Antonio, TX

The opening is closed, the water is extracted, materials floodwater touched come out, and the structure is dried and rebuilt in that order. The opening is closed first, with tarps or board-up, so the building stops taking on water. Floodwater is extracted, and the porous materials it touched come out rather than dry, since it crossed ground outside. The structure is dried and re-read, and the rebuild waits until the readings and the roof both allow it.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

Often needed alongside

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup

Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading.

Frequently asked questions

How long will the equipment run on a floor-level loss in a house this new?

Three or four days for the walls and framing, longer if the slab took it. Houses here are mostly drywall over wood framing on slab, with no plaster to hold water, so the wall assemblies give up moisture quickly once the base is open. The concrete underneath is the slow part and is read daily until it holds, whatever the walls are doing.

What does a slab leak under tile mean for the floor?

The tile over the wet area comes up, because nothing dries a slab through it. A leak under a slab shows as a warm spot or a rising bill long before it shows as water, so by the time it is found the concrete is saturated. The contractor lifts the tile, dries the slab with mats in a sealed run, and reads it daily until the readings hold.

Is the brick veneer a problem after water was on the floor inside?

It can hide one. Brick veneer sits an inch or so off the framing, and water that ran along the bottom plate collects in that gap where nothing reads it from outside. The contractor cuts the inside drywall low, reads the plate and the studs, and dries the cavity through the opening before the wall is closed again.
