Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Arlington, TX

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

There is damp beside the fireplace on both floors. Is that two leaks?

Almost certainly one, at the top. The brick chase against the outside wall is a hollow shaft running the full height of the house, and water getting past the cap runs down inside it. It wets the framing on the way and shows wherever that framing meets a finished surface, which is often on more than one floor.

How is a shaft like that dried?

It has to be opened, usually from the room at one or two points. There is no access to a framed chase otherwise and no air moves through it. Openings are made where probe readings are highest, the wet framing and any insulation inside come out, and air is directed up the shaft rather than across the wall face.

Why did nobody notice until the ceiling stained?

Because brick facing hides all of it. The chase looks like a solid masonry element from outside and is a closed cavity inside, so water can run down it for months with nothing visible in any room. The staining appears where the shaft framing touches a ceiling or wall, which is the end of the path rather than the start.
