24/7 Emergency
24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Chattanooga, TN
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the well fill?
Because it is a hole cut into a wet hillside. Rain falls directly into it, surface water runs toward it, and the slope behind it delivers ground water through the walls. All of that has to leave through one small drain in the floor, and that drain has a pipe running somewhere that nobody has looked at in years.
Where does that drain actually go?
It varies, and finding out matters. Some run to daylight further down the slope, some to a dry well, and some were connected to the house's waste line. A drain to daylight can be cleared; one running to a silted dry well needs rebuilding, and it will fill again every heavy storm until it is.
Is there any protection besides the drain?
A cover over the well helps considerably, since most of what arrives is rain falling straight in. Beyond that, the ground above the well should be graded to send surface water around it rather than into it. Both are cheaper than dealing with a basement that takes water twice a year.
