Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Spartanburg, SC

Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

The crawl space has standing water. Why has it not drained away?

Because there is nowhere for it to go. A crawl space with a poured floor and a solid perimeter is effectively a shallow concrete tray, so water that gets in stays in. That is better than soil in one respect, since it can be pumped out completely, and worse in another, since none of it disappears on its own.

What comes out from under there first?

The water, then anything lying in it. Ducting and insulation commonly sit on the crawl floor, so they are the first things to take it and the last to be looked at. Wet insulation is pulled, ducting is assessed by whoever maintains it, and only then is the space enclosed and dried.

Does a March loss run longer than a late-summer one?

It does. The heaviest rain of the year falls in March while the ground around the house is still carrying the winter, so a tray that copes in September fills in spring. The same loss in late summer is a much smaller job, and the difference is entirely about what the ground outside is doing.
