24/7 Emergency
Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Washington, PA
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there a toilet standing in the cellar?
It was put there deliberately when the house was built, for men coming home dirty from work. It is unenclosed and connected straight into the house drain at its lowest point, which is exactly where a backup from the street arrives first.
What happens if it has not been used in years?
The trap dries out, and a dry trap is an open pipe. That takes away the seal between the cellar and the drain, so sewer gas comes up as a matter of course and a surcharge in the line has nothing at all holding it back.
Is it worth keeping?
Often yes, and the decision is worth making deliberately rather than by neglect. Kept and used, it is a useful early warning that the main is struggling. Left dry for a decade, it is an open connection at the lowest point of the house.
