24/7 Emergency
24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Franklin Park, PA
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Frequently asked questions
What is a beam pocket?
A recess formed into the top of the foundation wall for the main beam to bear into. The beam carrying the floor has to land on something at each end, and rather than a separate column the wall itself is notched to take it. That leaves a hole in the masonry with the beam sitting in it.
Why does it matter after a loss?
Because it collects and it is closed. Water reaching the top of the foundation wall runs into the pocket and sits there against the end of the beam, where there is no air and nothing visible. It is one of the last places to dry and one of the first places worth checking.
Is this a structural question?
It can become one, which is why it is looked at rather than just dried. The pocket is where the floor structure bears, so timber that has been wet in there repeatedly, or a steel end that has corroded, is a different conversation from a damp wall. The condition is assessed directly.
