Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Gahanna, OH
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Can this siding be dried and kept?
Only where it has not started to swell. Pressed hardboard takes water up its cut edges and thickens, and that change is permanent, so the test is whether the board is still firm and holding its fixings. Anything that has gone soft or opened at the bottom edge is replaced rather than dried.
What is checked behind the siding?
Whatever the water reached once it was past the boards, which is usually more than expected. Sheathing, the framing behind it and any insulation in the bays are read directly with the cladding off, because siding that has been failing for a while has normally been letting water through for just as long.
Does the time of year change the outcome?
It changes how much recovers. The wettest month here is a warm one, so boards stay damp in humid air for weeks rather than drying between events, and that is the condition in which they swell furthest. The same wetting in a cold, dry stretch does noticeably less damage to the material.
