Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Syracuse, NY
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the basement wet in February rather than in a storm?
Because the water is snow that was cleared against the wall. On narrow lots there is nowhere else to put it, so a winter's accumulation stands against the foundation and melts slowly through the cold months. The ground there never drains and the wall is loaded continuously.
Is this different from ordinary groundwater?
In where it comes from rather than what it does. The wall takes water at its base the same way, but the source is a pile a few feet away rather than the water table, so it is seasonal, it is local to one or two spots, and it is entirely within somebody's control.
What changes for next winter?
Where the snow goes, which is usually the whole conversation. Moving the pile a few feet from the building removes a source that has been there every winter, and it costs nothing. Drying the basement without raising it means doing the same work again next year.
