24/7 Emergency
Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Port Jefferson, NY
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
One wall is soaked and the opposite one is dry. Is that normal?
It is what a stepped house does. The uphill wall is buried against the slope and takes ground water and runoff; the downhill wall is open to the air and behaves like any above-grade wall. They are read separately rather than averaged, and the equipment is weighted toward the buried side so the room finishes together.
The lowest level is finished. How much comes off?
Whatever is holding water against the buried wall. Framed partitions and furring fixed to masonry leave little or no gap, so water sits where room air cannot reach it. The finish comes off along the wet section, the wall is dried exposed and read at the base, and it is refastened only once those readings hold.
The rain was weeks ago and it is still wet. Why?
Because the hill is still draining. Ground on a slope keeps delivering water to the uphill wall for a long time after the storm, so the wall is being resupplied while the equipment works. That shows as readings that fall and then stall. It is worth knowing whether the water is still arriving before more equipment time is spent.
