Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Sicklerville, NJ

Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

How can a ceiling get wet with a sound roof?

From the inside of the roof rather than the outside. A cooling duct that has come apart in the attic discharges cold air into a humid space, and that air condenses on the underside of the sheathing and on the duct itself. The water then drips back onto the insulation and the ceiling below.

How is this distinguished from a roof problem?

By when it happens. Condensation from a separated duct appears during the cooling season and in humid weather rather than during rain, so a ceiling that wets on a hot dry day is telling you the source is inside. The ductwork is then checked at every joint along the run.

What has to be put right?

The duct first, because nothing else stops it. Once the run is reconnected the condensation stops immediately, and then the wet insulation comes out and the ceiling and framing are read and dried. Drying the ceiling without finding the joint simply means doing it again next summer.
