Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Nashua, NH
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the family room taking so much longer than the rest of the house?
Because it is built on a different foundation. The original house has a basement under it, so water that gets through the floor drains and can be dealt with below. The addition is concrete bearing on the ground, and it holds what it takes up and releases slowly, especially in the colder half of the year.
What happens at the joint between the two?
It is read carefully, because it is where water crosses. Two structures built at different times meet at that line with no seal between them, so a loss on either side travels along it. The floor is checked on both sides of the joint and the wall above it is opened low if the readings there stay high.
Is a January loss in the addition worse than a July one?
Meaningfully, yes. The slab sits on ground that is frozen or near it and will barely release, so warming the room is the first step and the run is several days longer. In July the same floor is at a workable temperature and the job is ordinary. The rest of the house barely changes between seasons.
