24/7 Emergency
24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Claremont, NH
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading.
Frequently asked questions
What does a penstock do?
The pipe that carries water from an intake above the falls down to the turbines below. It runs under considerable pressure because the head is what produces the power, and here it passes through ground that is now built up.
Why is that different from a canal?
Because of the pressure. Water in an open canal leaks gently; water in a penstock is under a head of many feet, so a failure releases with force and volume, and it does so at whatever point the pipe has weakened.
Is the system still in use?
In many of these towns, yes, which is worth knowing. Small hydro at old mill sites has been recommissioned in a good many places, so what looks like an industrial relic can be live plant with water in it under pressure.
