Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Lincoln, NE
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
What does salt in the ground do to a building?
It travels with the moisture and stays when the moisture leaves. Water moving up through a slab or a masonry wall carries dissolved salts, and when it evaporates at the surface those salts crystallize there. The growth of those crystals is what lifts paint, tile adhesive and the face off masonry.
Why do readings stay high after drying?
Because most meters respond to conductivity, and salt is conductive. A slab that has been through this can read wet on a meter when it is dry enough for flooring, which is why a proper assessment here uses a relative humidity test in the slab rather than a surface reading alone.
Does anything stop it?
Stopping the water stops the transport, which is the only reliable approach. A barrier under new flooring manages the symptom. What does not work is cleaning the deposits off and refinishing, because the salts are inside the material and will come back as soon as it is wetted again.
