Mold Removal & Remediation in Dickinson, ND

Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.

Independent local crews · scoped at the property

Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.

Often needed alongside

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

Frequently asked questions

Why is heat the first thing set up rather than extraction?

Because there is nothing to extract yet. In a building that has lost its heating in a January like this the water is ice in the floor and the walls, and a vacuum takes nothing out of that. The building is brought back above freezing first, and the extraction follows as the assembly releases.

Can the extent be assessed while it is frozen?

Only roughly. Ice reads differently from water and much of it is inside the structure where nothing reaches, so an early assessment understates what is there almost every time. The scope is written after the building has warmed and the assemblies have been opened, not on the first visit.

Why is the building warmed slowly?

So that what is released can be dealt with as it arrives. Bringing a frozen building up quickly puts the whole volume into the structure at once with nothing in place to take it, which makes the damage worse than the freezing did. The heat and the extraction are brought up together.
