Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Kalispell, MT
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

- Mold Inspection & Testing

Frequently asked questions
Why is it always the north wall?
Two reasons together. The wind drops snow in the lee of the building, and the north side is the one that gets no sun through the short winter days, so a drift that forms there in November is still there in March while the same drift on the south side has gone.
What does five months of contact do?
It keeps the base of that wall wet continuously rather than wetting and drying. Siding, sheathing and the sill take up water steadily, and because the temperature hovers around freezing at the surface of the drift, the wetting goes on through the whole winter.
Does the melt itself cause a problem?
It concentrates one. A pack against a wall releases into ground that is still frozen underneath, so the water cannot soak away and runs along the surface at the foundation instead. The spring event is the same water that has been sitting there all winter.
