24/7 Emergency
24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Laurel, MS
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Frequently asked questions
What is under these floorboards?
The joists, and then the crawl space. There is no plywood or plank subfloor between, which is normal in houses of this age here. The finished floor is also the structural deck, and it is the only layer separating the room from the space below.
Does water on the floor stay on the floor?
Very little of it. Boards laid directly on joists have gaps between them that open further with age, so a spill or a burst upstairs goes through into the crawl space rather than spreading across the room. Less shows above and more ends up below.
Is the old flooring worth saving?
Nearly always, and it changes the whole approach. Heart pine of this age cannot be replaced with anything comparable, so the work is patient drying from both sides with the boards left in place, which takes longer than replacement and is worth it.
