Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Columbus, MS
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the plumbing in an outside wall?
Because the bathroom was planned around the fixtures rather than the pipework. Putting the tub and the basin against the outside wall makes sense for the room, and the supply and waste then have to run in that wall, which is the one assembly in the house exposed to the weather on one face.
How do you tell a leak from water coming in?
By where it is worst and when it appears. A supply failure runs regardless of the weather and is heaviest at the fitting; water from outside follows the rain and is heaviest at the exterior face. Readings are taken across the depth of the wall rather than from one side.
What comes out of the wall?
The insulation first, because it holds water against the pipework and the framing and stops either being read. After that the cavity is dried as an open assembly with the pipework exposed, which is also the only way to be confident about where the water was coming from.
