Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Kansas City, MO
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
What is opened when a stack fails?
The chase it runs in, from the failure down. A waste stack is boxed into a wall and passes through every floor, so water leaving it runs inside that enclosure and wets each level on the way. The boxing comes off along the whole run rather than at the one place a ceiling marked.
Does drain water change what can be kept?
It changes most of it. Porous materials that took water from a waste line are removed rather than dried, whatever the readings say, and that includes insulation, board and any carpet in the path. Framing and masonry are cleaned and then dried, so the structure usually stays and the finishes usually do not.
Why is a vertical chase harder to dry than a room?
Because nothing moves through it. A boxed-in shaft has no ventilation of its own, so moisture sits in a tall narrow void where equipment in the room cannot reach it. Air has to be introduced into the chase itself at more than one level, and readings are taken inside it rather than off the wall outside.
