24/7 Emergency
Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup in Mishawaka, IN
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading. The affected area is sealed off from the rest of the house. Porous materials the water reached come out and are bagged, with drywall cut to a margin above the visible line; hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected. The space is then dried and read, and the containment comes down only when cleaning and drying are both finished.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Mold Remediation
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in.
Frequently asked questions
What is the mill race?
A channel cut from the river to carry water to the factories and back, built when water was the power source. It ran through the middle of town, and when it stopped being needed much of it was decked over rather than filled in.
Is it still carrying water?
In places, and that is what catches people out. Some sections were sealed at the head and some were not, so parts of it still take river water or ground water, and where the masonry has failed that water is in the surrounding soil.
How would anyone know where it runs?
From historic maps rather than current ones, and the local historical society generally has better coverage than the city. It is worth looking at, because a property over the line behaves quite differently from one fifty feet away. A property sitting over the line frequently has a wet corner that no surface grading ever fixes.
