Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Crest Hill, IL
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
One section of the basement wall will not come down. Why that one?
Check what is outside it. An escape well is a box of gravel held against the foundation, and once that gravel is saturated it keeps the wall wet from the outside no matter what the equipment is doing inside. That section is read separately and is often the last thing in the building to hold.
Does the finish have to come off the whole wall or just that part?
Along the wet run, which is usually wider than expected. Board and insulation against concrete trap moisture and make the wall unreadable, so they come off wherever the readings are high. That commonly extends a few feet either side of the well, because water moves through the concrete as well as into it.
Is spring the difficult season for this?
It is. The heaviest rain of the year lands in May, just after the thaw has already loaded the ground, so a well that drains adequately in August is sitting full in spring. The same loss six months later is a straightforward basement job, and the difference is entirely outside the building.
