Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Lewiston, ID
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
Is drying here really quicker than elsewhere in the region?
Noticeably. The town sits far below the country around it, so the winter is short and the air is dry, and outside air can be used directly for much of the year. A loss that would take ten days a few thousand feet higher is often finished in five or six here, with less equipment.
What is the risk in drying that fast?
Closing too early. Dry air brings a surface down within a day while the inside of a cavity lags well behind, so the room looks and feels finished long before the framing is. The reading that counts comes from inside the wall through an opening, on consecutive days, and it is usually a few days behind the room.
Houses on the hill behave differently. Why?
Because one of their walls is in the ground. On a graded lot the uphill wall is buried while the others are open to the air, and buried material stays at ground temperature and releases slowly. That wall is read separately and the room is not signed off on an average, which would hide exactly the wall still holding.
