Structural Drying & Dehumidification in Dublin, GA

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material. The wet area is sealed, air movers and dehumidifiers run as one system, and the material is read at marked points every day against a dry standard from an unaffected room. The equipment leaves on the readings rather than on a date, and the final readings are logged so the rebuild starts on a documented dry structure.

Often needed alongside

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

Is the brick itself the problem?

No, and that is worth being clear about. A single skin of brick is expected to let some water through; the gap behind it is meant to drain what does. The problem is when that gap cannot empty, so the water stands against the sheathing and framing instead, which is where the drying job actually is.

How is a wall with a cavity dried?

From the inside, almost always. Opening the brick is slow and rarely justified, so the board comes off the room face, the insulation comes out, and air is moved through the stud bays to reach the back of the sheathing. Where the cavity itself is holding water, it is drained at the bottom course first.

Why does this show up so late?

Because the wet face is the one nobody looks at. Water in the cavity sits on the outer side of the sheathing and works into the bottom plate before it ever reaches the room, so the inside of the wall reads dry through the early part of it. By the time a baseboard marks, the plate has been wet a while.
