24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Town 'n' Country, FL

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup

Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the converted room always the wet one?

Because it is the low point. A garage slab is poured a few inches below the house floor for drainage, and turning it into a room does not change that. Anything that spreads across the house floor runs into it, and it is also the piece of concrete most likely to be sitting on bare ground.

The floor reads damp. Is that this loss or something older?

Often both, and it has to be separated. A slab poured with no sheet under it reads damp in a house that has never leaked, so the useful measurement is a comparison against untouched concrete elsewhere in the building on the same day. Without that comparison the number on its own says very little.

What happens to the covering that was laid in the conversion?

It usually comes up along the wet run. Whatever went down during a garage conversion was laid over concrete that is fed from below, so it is often failing already and it is certainly trapping this loss. Once the floor is open the slab is dried and read, and what goes back is chosen knowing it will keep receiving moisture.
