Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Pensacola, FL
Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
Frequently asked questions
What is a jalousie window?
A stack of narrow glass slats in a metal frame that crank open and closed together. They were fitted everywhere along this coast because they let air through while keeping the sun off, and they close by each pane resting on the one below rather than sealing into anything.
Why does rain get through a closed one?
Because closed is not the same as sealed. The slats overlap but nothing presses them together, so rain driven at the window in a summer storm goes straight between them. In still rain they shed perfectly well, which is why the problem seems to come and go.
Can they be made weathertight?
Not really, and that is worth saying plainly. There is no gasket to renew and no adjustment that closes the gaps. Where a wall keeps getting wet under a jalousie unit, replacing the window is the repair, and everything else is postponing it.
