Storm & Flood Damage Recovery in Ocala, FL

The opening is closed, the water is extracted, materials floodwater touched come out, and the structure is dried and rebuilt in that order. The opening is closed first, with tarps or board-up, so the building stops taking on water. Floodwater is extracted, and the porous materials it touched come out rather than dry, since it crossed ground outside. The structure is dried and re-read, and the rebuild waits until the readings and the roof both allow it.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

Often needed alongside

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup

Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading.

Frequently asked questions

What is the line down the middle of the house?

The join between the two halves the building arrived in. Each section has its own complete framing, so where they meet there are two sets of studs and two rim members side by side rather than one continuous structure. It is invisible once the finishes are on, and it behaves differently from the rest of the house.

Why does water sit at that joint?

Because it is a gap between two structures rather than a part of one. Water reaching the line runs along it and into the space between the two halves, where there is no air from either room and twice the timber to dry. It is the slowest part of the building to come back.

How is that area opened and read?

From one side at a time, along the length of the seam. Readings taken in the room report the framing nearest the surface and say nothing about the second set behind it, so the finish comes off along the line and pins go into both halves separately. Treating it as a single wall is what leaves moisture in it.
